The following article pertains to people who are running Windows on a Mac computer using Boot Camp.
- While running on the Windows side, right click the Boot Camp icon in the lower right hand corner of the task bar
- Select Boot Camp Control Panel
- Click on the Keyboard tab at the top of the dialog box
- Make sure there is a check mark in the box that says, “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys”
- When finished, click OK
NOTE: This article is especially helpful for individuals whose document (such as a Thesis) contains a list which needs to be updated. For example, the document may include a Table of Contents, List of Tables or List of Figures. Documents containing field codes, may require updating at some point. Lack of functionality when using a function key, may simply be a setting issue.
